Thank You Regarding Condolences:
On February 14th we lost one of our most generous and talented members- DR. Llewellyn Hewitt. His beloved wife-Gladys (Vlasta) Hewitt thanked us for our contribution of $100.00 to the American Cancer Society in Dr. Hewitt’s honor. Gladys wrote that he would have loved that, since his dream was for a cure for that disease. Dr. Hewitt was looking forward to our next meeting, as he had painted a new still-life for us. He always told everyone that he was born a Welshman, but he injoyed being a Czech with Gladys.
Speakers at the June 12th meeting.
Three of our members participated in the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the City of Pilsen. Alfred Novacek will tell us about this exciting event, and Nelson Havel will bring photos and barochures which he and Lori gathered on this trip.
